These series of ornaments are crafted using a circular, flat blank bases, perfect for holiday decoration, paired with acrylic pouring techniques. To create the unique marbled effect, fluid acrylic paints in multi-coloured shades were mixed with a pouring medium. The front & back designs are wildly different, achieved by carefully layering the colors and manipulating them with air or a tool to create a petal-like spread. On the back, a more abstract, organic form emerges, likely the result of the natural interaction between the colors as they settle.

I wanted to capture the beauty and spontaneity of nature during the holidays, blending traditional festive colors with a floral motif. The swirling patterns of acrylic pour painting remind me of the unpredictable yet harmonious way winter frost decorates leaves and petals. As I worked on this piece, I imagined how flowers might freeze mid-bloom, preserving their beauty in time, much like the ornaments we hang on our trees, carrying memories from year to year.
