"Floral Symphony" is a stunning handmade glass mosaic panel crafted using the direct method. This technique involves meticulously placing each piece of stained glass directly onto the base, ensuring precision and control over the final composition. The vibrant array of colors and textures is achieved through the use of high-quality stained glass, carefully cut and arranged to create a harmonious and intricate floral design. The black and white border frames the vibrant center, providing a striking contrast that enhances the overall visual impact.
Fused Glass - Chromatic Vortex - 7.5" x 7.5"
To create “Chromatic Vortex,” I employed mesh casting to generate random yet controlled forms within the glass medium. Starting with a base layer of clear glass, I carefully placed small pieces of colored glass onto a mesh above it. As gravity pulled these pieces through the mesh’s openings during the casting process, they formed unique shapes and patterns upon landing on the base layer. After completing this stage, I moved on to glass fusing—a meticulous technique where multiple layers of colored glasses are melted together in a kiln at high temperatures. This process allowed me to achieve not only structural integrity but also that desired glossy finish which makes each color pop vividly against its neighbors.

This artwork was meticulously crafted through the intricate process of glass fusing. Utilizing high-quality fusible glass chips and frit, each piece was carefully selected for its color and transparency to create a harmonious composition reminiscent of dappled sunlight filtering through leaves. The chips were arranged in a deliberate yet organic pattern on a flat sheet before being subjected to the kiln’s heat
