Fused Glass Plate - Kaleidoscopic Dreamscape - 8.5" x 8.5"

This artwork was meticulously crafted using the time-honored techniques of glass fusing combined with murrini applications to create a complex interplay of colors and patterns. The process began by carefully selecting compatible glass pieces which were then cut into desired shapes. These individual pieces were arranged in an intricate pattern on a flat kiln shelf. Murrini slices—small cross-sections from glass canes featuring multicolored patterns—were strategically placed to add depth and detail to the composition. Once assembled, the entire piece underwent a controlled heating process in a kiln where temperatures soared just enough to fuse the glass elements together while retaining their distinct boundaries.
